Blake Miguez is a resident of New Iberia, where he was born and raised on the Bayou Teche.  A graduate of Catholic High School of New Iberia, Louisiana State University and Southern Law School, Blake has always been committed to his community and his local family business, which he operates.

In addition to being a successful businessman, Blake is a husband, father and World Champion competitive pistol shooter.  Featured on the History Channel's Top Shot TV series, Blake was an audience favorite for his confidence, skills and display of South Louisiana's culture.

Upon his election to the Louisiana House of Representatives, he was quickly viewed as serious republican voice for the conservative voters of his district and across Louisiana.  As a result of his steadfast conservative leadership, his colleagues rewarded him by electing him as Chairman of the House Republican Legislative Delegation which has membership of a near super-majority of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
